After a constant pouring of outrage over the alleged racist and homophobic attack on actor Jussie Smollett, there seems to be an overwhelming quiet spreading among the left.
Torrent of tweets coming from Hollywood activists like Ava DuVernay, Judd Apatow and Mathew Cherry didn’t have much to say following Smollett’s arrest.
GQ is practically tripping over itself as it attempts to make up for a published article titled, “The Racist, Homophobic Attack on Jussie Smollett Is America’s Endgame.”
Even Don Lemon, who must have sympathized with Smollett as a fellow gay, African-American in the television spotlight, barely managed to refer to events as “terrible.”
It would appear that as evidence mounts implicating that Smollett orchestrated the attack on himself that his former legion of supporters are now forced to reevaluate what they believe.
Those faithful to the Democrats are starting to see the truth about fake news reports as incidents like this and the one involving Covington Catholic students are exposed.
While Smollett still maintains his innocence and the results of the case are still undeclared, should he be found guilty the effect his actions have had will be felt for some time to come.
