A recent decision by the Supreme Court marks a victory for President Donald Trump.
The SCOTUS has voted to allow Trump’s transgender military ban to go through, prohibiting individuals with the condition called gender dysphoria from joining or continuing to serve in the military.
Liberal Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor all voted against the ban going into effect.
Yet the conservative majority ruled to lift injunctions that federal judges had made. The policy is still being legally challenged in the lower courts.
President Trump first introduced the policy on Twitter in 2017. Since then it was made official and released by then-Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis.
