FDA Puts Breaks on Michelle’s Pet Project

The FDA has proposed delaying production on new labels for nutrition facts until 2020.

The Trump administration approved the delay, which would grant companies an additional 18 months to comply with former first lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign.

According to The Hill, the new rule requires companies to add information about food products to their labels, such as the number of calories they contain as well as their vitamins and nutrients.
