Some surprising revelations have been made in the allegedly hate motivated assault case of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.
ABC 7 Chicago learned from multiple sources that authorities where questioning two “persons of interest.”
Before going any further let’s clarify that Smollett has already stated that he believes these two individuals are his attackers. In his first media interview with ABC News Smollett said, “I don’t have any doubt in my mind that that’s them,” adding, “Never did.”
Smollett has previously implied that the attackers were two white men, shouting “This is MAGA country” at the actor.
Which is rather curious as the two “persons of interest” happen to both be black, come from Nigeria and one of them was even an extra on the same television show Smollett works on. How peculiar.
It looks like at any moment Smollett will be exposed for the hoax he has perpetrated. Police have refused to name the “persons of interest” as suspects, but have searched their home. Bleach, shoes, electronics and more were confiscated for inspection.
Additionally they have subpoenaed Smollett’s phone provider, filling in all the gaps the actor attempted to hide in the heavily redacted pdf file he gave law officers that was supposed to represent his phone records. CWB Chicago pointed out how he practically did the investigators work for them.
The story is beginning to look a lot like a modern telling of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”
