Trump Celebrates ‘America First’ Executive Order

President Donald Trump announced a new executive order to promote his America First agenda, ordering the federal government to implement his buy American, and hire American policies.

“With this action, we’re sending a powerful signal to the world and we’re going to defend our workers, protect our jobs, and finally put America first,” he said during a speech he delivered after touring Snap-On Tools in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Trump ordered the federal government to promote and use American-made products and hire American workers, signing the document at the event.

“No longer are we going to allow foreign countries to cheat our producers and our workers out of federal contracts,” he said.

My wife just spent $674. on Ivanka clothes and shoes, i must say they look good on her. Kinda expensive if you ask me.

      • Bob Setliff

And they would look just as good on her if made in America and would probably hold together longer too.

You talk the talk, and you walk the walk. You can’t walk the talk. Geez.

      • Bob Setliff

Maybe you and Trumpet can’t but normal people can!

I anticipate that Trump will get a lot of blow-back from the globalist/ liberal/leftists factions on this policy, just as on everything else he does. I’m old enough to remember the times when literally everything we needed, and much we didn’t was “made in America”. Now, even our local, state, and Federal governments are dependent on foreign made goods for their operations. In many cases, this means that the actual manufacturing processes are eliminated entirely. In turn, that means eliminating the manufacturing of the machinery required. And THAT eliminates the essential skills required to make that machinery; the machinists, tool and die makers, pattern makers, molders, etc, etc, etc. If China, as an example, wanted to do great damage to this Country, all the need to do is say, “We aren’t going to sell you anything anymore”. It would take a very long time to develop the lost skills needed to put our manufacturing abilities back to the levels we had 60 years ago.
